Spirit Wing is Barbara Christy, Barry Lee and Chris Hawley. Spirit Wing specializes in Native American Music consisting of original songs, traditional music, and some cover tunes that relate well to the Native American experience.  Barbara sings lead vocals and plays percussion and native flute. Barry sings lead also and plays guitar along with some percussion.  Chris fills in with bass and percussion.

Spirit Wing helped host the Philadelphia Folk Festival Campfire Sing along and performed at numerous Pow Wows and native American Gatherings in Pennsylvania along with Coffee Houses and other venues.  Spirit Wing was also featured at the PhillyFolk 9/11 Benefit Concert.  PhillyFolk is an internet music mailing list hosted by Fortissimo Folk Music.

Barbara spent time in the singing with a Rock and Roll band while in high school that was accomplished enough to do the "road band touring" for several years, including radio and TV appearances.

Barry has been entertaining for over 30 years and has been on several radio programs and is a familiar attendee at folk and bluegrass festivals in the Mid-Atlantic states. He also runs a successful adult guitar course called "Back Porch Guitar" which is featured at both the YMCA and Owen J. Roberts adult school curriculum.

Chris Hawley has been in many genres of music playing bass guitar. He was asked to sit in on the recording of Ancient Spirit Voices. Barbara and Barry were so impressed with his work ethic and commitment to 'getting it right' they decided he would be just the addition they needed for performing their music. His playing has added depth to Spirit Wing's live performance and he is the lead singer when they go to traditional music on the drum.

Listen to Spirit Wing and sense the deep respect for a people's history, spirituality and experiences.
