| The
Brush Brothers are an amalgamation of members of two
other bands, Unsafe At Any Speed, and Fools and
Prophets (formerly Faith & Practice).
Bert Coffman and Pete Kellers played with Unsafe At
Any Speed for some 25 years until the group went on
indefinite hiatus. Dave Crosman currently plays with
Fools and Prophets (formerly Faith & Practice) and
also Breakfast at Judy's. Dave and Bert provide the
lead instrumentals and vocals while Pete supplies the
low-end on 5-string bass. They support their vocal
harmonies by alternating on rhythm guitar and almost
anything else that isn't a guitar. The result is a
variety of familiar and not-so-familiar tunes spanning
multiple genres, including bluegrass, gospel, old and
new country, folk, humor, and originals. They enjoy
sharing their love of music with others in informal
concerts for community groups, fundraisers, parties,
conferences, etc. They encourage audiences to
sing along, dance, and most of all, have fun at their
concerts!
